Default Accord 02 DX engine performance question

I have been told i cant do much with my f23a5 because it cant handle the power. I have an intake and header. I want to know if this is true in the first spot. And second if this is true can i change the head on this engine?

Pretty much true if you going NA route, same goes for Vtec F's

yes, you can change the head on you engine. The work involved could be a lot but that depends.

Take a look at the Accord FAQ which is stickied at the top. Scroll down to Swaps and you'll see a few links to head swaps. Those should answer your questions and give you a good idea of what would be involved.

the a5 will handle a 75 shot of N2O like a champ.

the VTEC head will swap right on. actually, it's simpler than that. you really just need to swap the cam and rockers. the castings are the same. you'll still need to source a vtec solenoid, ecu, and distributor, but it's pretty straight forward. you still won't have the same power levels as the a1/a4 because the a5 has lower compression pistons, but it should give you some extra go.
