Default 1992 Honda Civic DX

The engine light comes on in my car and it does not want to idle when it warms up, it idles fine when it is cold. DOes anyone have any info for this problem?

Exactly. For starters, you can jump the plug in the passenger side kick panel and read the CEL code that you get. Tell us the code and we'll tell you what the problem is. That will obviously be the best way to begin troubleshooting.

Jump the service connector. A code reader is <u>NOT needed</u>. You can tell by different flashes of the check engine light.

Read this.

That'll tell ya everything you need to know to find out what the CEL means.

Sorry, but i am new with honda's, give me a old ford or dodge and i can do anything, but these new computers are different. So what you are saying is that i need something tto read the code or is it already in the car, hwere exactly would i see this code?

What happens is it has, two flashes and along pause and two flashes and a long pause.

each long light is 10 and each blink is 1
