Default CA REF emissions suggestions

So I'm going to the ref tomorrow for the second time. Last time everything was cool just couldn't fit on the rollers to smog (since not in ground rollers). Anyway, I am thinking I might get a new ref tomorrow who might be more strict and check my conversion harness/service connector.

Should I wire up the service connector using the orange/blue wires from rywire conversion harness? Can I just snip the wires back a couple inches on the service connector and just wire it up?
Any help would be appreciated.

well almost got sticker but failed emissions.

NOX was 40 over max at 25mph and way over at 15mph (1424 max 847!). HC's were 30 less at 25mph and 30 over max at 15mph.

gonna get a new cat tomorrow and run some CRC guaranteed to pass. Any other suggestions? I am thinking since is a 91 jdm b16a1 might have gunk on piston heads which would raise compression raising nox, HC's probably due to cat.
I am running dc headers which have been bent by road because car was lowered, but don't think this will be the culprit. O2 sensor is fairly new. Running chevron 91. Aem short ram. No fan was used during test but was 40 degrees out today! No EGR. New plugs/wires/dizzy/oil change.

any thoughts? member: thesmogman???
