I hope that isnt all its got because the way that fly bye looked its got aways to go before it will put up a fight to a S/C Si. Good luck on your adventure. Getting there though that is always the best part when you take on a new project.
I guess the title should read 'Turbo Civic LX videos'. I'm not really a Honda guy in the sense I'm not educated on modding Honda engines any farther than bolt-ons (I'm a DSM guy from way back...but have an SI in the garage now). Did you go with the LX because you wanted a SOHC and were going to do wheels anyway?! I'm just curious as to why a tuner would buy an LX and a turbo kit versus just buying an SI, which I figure are about equivalent in cost. Granted, I realize your car has more power than a stock SI; I am just wondering whether you purchased the LX planning to turbo it, or were going for economy and then got bit by the tuner bug.

why would a tuner even buy an Si in the first place?
there is obviously better out there
why do people buy the new Honda Fit and modify those? why does ANYONE modify their car?
(he bought the EX used for hella cheap btw)

first, yea its an lx but i didnt title this thread.
i bought the car for someone that made it look like an si. that had nothing to do with why i bought it. the price tag was 10 grand, and i wasnt gonna pass. i was much of a "tuner" before i bought the car, it grew on me and now im trying to do the best with what i have.

Well I can see I need to explain myself again so here goes......
Insurance payments would depend on the Insurance companies as well. I'll bet my bottom dollar that I have a much better insurance rate than alot of people my age on HT. Why? Insurance company. If an Si owner has 0 tickets and the LX,EX owner has 8 or 9, who's gonna get the better rate given the same insurance company? You can't count insurance cause there's too many variables that affect it.

Yes but you're 27 years old. Imagine what it would be if you had ZERO tickets on file or maybe even just a couple.

Congrats on the setup, seems like its pretty fun to drive.
You need to adjust your BOV though... it should only being blowing off hardcore when there's a load on the engine(IE while the car is in motion)... adjusting it softer so that it goes off while the car is parked is cool and all but can cause compressor surge when you're actually putting a load on the engine. I know you mentioned it needs to be tuned but I'd harden the BOV up a little bit to prevent damage to your turbo... that and get it tuned ASAP! Driving on a boosted motor without tuning is extremley risky /stupid
