Default b18 head on as b16A2 block?

I am about to get a port and polish done on my head soon. I have a b16a2 but im wondering if i can get a gsr head or a type r head and if it would mount? i know the heads on those are better than the b16, but i dont know if it will be worth it and if its possible?

the type r head is pretty much a b16 head with a factory port. so if you're already going to have the b16 head PP then it would be worthless

b16 head actually flows better than the gsr head. Save your money and port your head and add some cams, springs, retainers, header. my .02

the only thing better about the gsr head is that it has smaller combustion chambers. but, it'd be better to bump up compression with higher-domed pistons and have the better-flowing head. +1 for porting the b16 head. good luck

when getting a PP the b16 and type r are the same both better then gsr.
you can get type r cams for your b16a
