How do i find out if my jdm h22 is a -96 or +97?

I'm pretty sure this is a noob questions, but i really have no idea how to check.

is it OBD1 or OBD2?

There is a date stamp on the head.

96+ was OBD2 and OBD1 is 95-

yep just read the dials above the exhast manifold. add a year to whatever it says. and thats the year car it came in.

both 96 and 97+ are OBD2
