Default Changing dizzy for OBD purposes

Hey, when changing an OBD-II dizzy onto an OBD-I engine b/c you have an OBD-II harness and don't wanna do any wiring alterations, how much do you have to take out. Just the bolts that hold the dizzy on, pull it off, and replace the O ring b4 putting the new one on? Also, how important is it if you don't replace that O ring, will it spring a serious oil leak?

Also, is it possible to re-pin/re-wire the plug w/ a plug from an OBD-I junkyard harness to fit, or does it HAVE TO use that harness? If so, anybody know where I can snag a wiring diagram?

yes only 3 screws hold on the dizzy.. and for repining some of the wires on one of them are thicker.. if you can get you and on the obd-2 do it.. if you find a obd-1 one just splice the obd-2 connectors on it..

replace o-ring but is so easy to take off the dizzy you can do it anytime..
get a honda o-ring

Well the engine coming out is OBD-II so I can just pull the dizzy off that. Guess I will, just didn't want to deal with the O ring leaking. I guess I'll just compare the O rings fro the 2 engines and see which one is in better condition and use that one until I can get a new one on there?
