after installing my friends ctr cams on his em1 SI just double checking cam plate/brace whatever its called.........the outside is 16 lb's and inside 14 lb's????? need info

Are you talking about the top part that goes down and covers the cam?

I don't know if it's any diff but I believe if you're talking about what I'm talking about then the tq. specs are 9lb-ft on the outside sleeve and 16lb-ft on the inside parts of the cover.

Though there's two variables, one, I only know those specs from a D16Z6 so they're probably different on your B16a2, and two, I'm not sure if we're talking/thinking about the same piece, but I think we are.

Check a helms, it's sure to have it.

You're talking about the bolts that go through the dowel pins on the plate that actually keeps the camshaft in its journal, right?

 

for a gsr it says 7.2 and 20 ...

you would think all dohc vtec bseries motor would be the same

 

when you put the cams on then you put that metal plate over the cams and it has 12 bolts.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about.

Sorry, I didn't know, on a D16Z6 they're 9ft-lb on the outside sleeve and the other 10 on the "main" piece are 16ft-lb. They're different for DOHC though, sorry bro ( @ me)
