Running too rich!!!
I got a 99 gsr running 310cc injectors and a chipped P28. Other parts I have consist of intake, blox IM, jdm itr header, test pipe, apexi exhaust, and str 68mm TB. I lowered my fuel pressure down to 40psi and it still runs rich. Should I switch back to the stock 240cc injectors?
normally thats what happens when you run bigger injectors, test pipe, etc. try to switch back to 240cc injectors and leave the fuel pressure psi stock and see how that runs.
oh yeah since your running rich does your car pop fireballs when the tip is hot?

If the chipped P28 is just a generic program, it is almost certainly running very rich. Adding larger injectors on top of that will only exaggerate the problem. I would suggest having the ECU properly tuned with either set of injectors.

+1 for proper tuning, and i would also recommend investing in a wideband o2 sensor such as the AEM UEGO to allow for tuning and constant monitoring...too many people just throw parts on their car without the proper compensation then are baffled when things don't run correctly or at maximum potential...
not trying to disrespect you but if you invest money in those parts wouldn't you want them to perform correctly and at optimum potential? ditch the chip and a real tuning device i.e. hondata

that doesnt mean anything. you still need to have it tuned.

smaller injectors are more risky because they can make it run lean and blow the motor.....basically you're trying to do guess work in the dark vs doing it the right way.
You guys talk about tuning with a wide band, but what are rates usually for a dyno run and tuning? Speaking of tuning device, would a hondata s200 be suited for tuning my car.

whats the point to ask for adivse and then go off and completly ignore what people have suggested you to do? Just get the damn thing tuned or it will never work properly. Even the stock P28 runs considerably rich, so some crap chip isnt going to help the matter. If you have the car tuned, they can make sure that you are running stoitch (14.7:1 A/F ratio) over the whole rpm range. You'll get more power, you'll run better, and you may even save some gas.
Do it right, and dont expletive around with things you dont know about.

Wideband is about $250 to buy, you can use uberdata, crome or misc other free tuning softwares if you dont have any cash. Dyno time w/ wideband is generally in the $75-85/hr and tuning is generally in the $50-75/hr range. Sometimes you can find somebody that street tunes them (has the software and all that) and all you have to do is drive it around while they datalog and change parameters. Thats generally about the same tuning price and you dont pay for the dyno (you have to have a wideband installed though).
