94 accord has been sitting for 2 years..
hi. its been a long time since ive browsed this forum since i went to college and could not take my car with me. basically its been sitting in the back of my parents house for about about 2 years under a car cover outside with the elements. i am from pennsylvania so the weather here is pretty brutal with the summer and winters. the car has literally just sat there on a slight incline since my backyard is not perfectly level to allow for water drainage. im wondering what tips or advice you guys can give me to check for so that i can make this car driveable again. any help is always appreciated. thanks in advance.
If the car wasn't on jacks, than the tires almost definitely have flat spots where they sat on the ground this whole time. I would go ahead and take the time to change all the fluids and spark plugs, and make sure that no rodent or colony of bugs decided to make your Accord their new home. Check to make sure everything moves about freely (throttle cable, e-brake, etc.). You'll probably need a new battery at this point as well.
Good luck with the brakes....
Your winters are probably about the same as here in Minnesota... You might be looking at seized calipers and sliders. Hopefully just sliders. If you're lucky, they'll brake loose as soon as you let out the clutch. But I drove my old car from behind my parent's house and dragged the back wheels til I hit the street.

I've never understood why you had to change the fluids if it just sat there, if its a closed system I don't get it.</TD></TR></TABLE>
when you do a PDI on a new car at the dealer you have to let the pressure out of the tires because they are shipped with 50 psi in them to prevent flatspots.
The flat spots are really warped places in the tire belting.
The 'closed system' [trans and engine do have some venting] gets condensation from temp changes as well as fluid separations.

I would put the car on jack stands. and do a tune up. also after a while of leaving gas in there it looses its octane.. so get some gas as well. I would also try some FI cleaner. Cars don't like to sleep for too long. They wake up all angry and stuff
