What should I do????
I'll make this quick and to the point. Car is a 91 Civic hatchback (standard trim)/1.5L engine w/4 speed manual trans. 142k on body/driveline.
1. What engine/trans should I swap in? How much $$$?
2. What suspension/brake mods should I make?
3. What size wheels/tires for best perfomance (has 13's currently)?
Goal is to have a fun, streetable car that MAY see some open track/autocross events (for fun only...not for points). Need relief from the 70HP I currently have!
Thanks in advance--

1. I like the b16a1 engine (+-2000 if you do the install)...ZC would be a cheaper option.
2. H&R, Neuspeed, or Eibach are good springs with a performance shock (Tokico, Koni, KYB.) Brakes- http://www.fastbrakes.com
3. 15x6.5" wheel with a 195/50-15 tire.
This is all my opinion.....

Ok...I'm going to show my ignorance here. What is an LS engine...and is that what I ask for when I call the salvage yards? I assume I will need the engine, trans, computer, wiring, axles, mounts...anything else?
LS engine is from an integra...depending on what year you get will dicatate the difficulty of the swap.
b18a- 90-91 integra-obd0
b18b-92-up integra LS-obd1/2
The 90-91 motor would be the easiest to swap as far as wiring changes are concerned.
To swap the 90-91 motor you will need a mount kit, shift linkage, 90-93 integra intermediate shaft and axles. Make sure the motor comes with a rear motor mount bracket, otherwise you will need to get one from a 90-93 integra. To swap you will also need to perform the dpfi-mpfi fuel injection swap. Sport Compat car had a good write-up on it in the latest issue. The hybrid site has some good info as well. http://www.hybrid.honda-perf.org

the LS engine comes from a 95-97 integra LS, which the engine, the 1.8 liter B18B, is non VTEC ranging from around~140-150 HP....because of its non VTECness, its a good motor for turbo chraging, but swappin in, it'll need some technical stuff like motor mounts, and axles and ish....(not to mention rewiring, but since theres no VTEC, its much easier)...but its also capable of becoming a hybrid, say the LSVTEC thing which someone discovered by using the LS block and bolting on a VTEC head onto it, it raises its compression way up( i ferget the measurements) and boosts it up to around 200 HP naturally aspirated, but this involves more crazy stuff like drilling holes for the VTEC head and stuff...i dunno, if u ask me, i've never had too much experience with stuff like this, i jus take peoples word for it, but never justified for myself wuts true and wuts not.....if i left nething out, please correct me
