Default Advice on a build

im a noob when it comes to internals so i need some advice.

current setup is just skunk2 stage 2 cams and crower valvetrain with boltons. As well as a p28 and hondata s100 sitting in my room for when i get the rest of the parts. so i guese first question would be what would be a good compression to run with these cams? would the pro's make a bigger difference?

aside from pistons and rods what would i need?

I'm gonna assume you have an h22.
You really should researched all of these things before going about your build. But away from that.
First of all you are going to have to sleeve the motor because no forged pistons will work with the FRM sleeves that are on a stock h22 block. I believe mahle has come out with a piston that will work with stock sleeves but I would just sleeve it and not run stock sleeves. Darton is always a fine choice for sleeves.

Check out these websites for the applications they support.

Those are a few well known brands, there are definitely other brands that would work. Do some research

I would suggest going with a 12:1 or similar comp ratio for NA. In order to see a good bump in power I would also focus on the intake side of the build. Lately some nice numbers have been popping up from some h22s due to some good intake and TB engineering. Check out RLZ for a sick intake manifold. Black trax racing also makes a good intake manifold that I believe is a copy of the euro R. A bigger throttle body would be beneficial as well to match the bigger IM plenum.

try the type-s pistons, they're perfect for all motor and they don't require resleeving. a good header like RMF, SMSP, etc and maybe a Euro-R mani or some ITB's would be good as well. You'll never take full advantage of any of those without some good headwork though.

I would also probably go with Type-S pistons, its alot of bang for the buck, or you could spend another grand on sleeving the block and then another 400-500 on top of that for some forged pistons. Depending on the year of your h22, granted thats what you have, you will need to get new rods if you dont have an h22a4 that support a full floating wrist pin. There are alot of choices for rods. I would also continue with a nice header such as prospeed, RMF, SMSP, or something of that caliber coupled with a 2.5" SS exhaust. And a BPI stack like pretty much everyone else mentioned would be a pretty solid setup and you could always add more later
