vtec wont ingauge at high rpm

i have a chipped p28 in my 90 integra and the vtec well not ingauge when it hits 5000rpm and the the check engine lights up after light 15 min of driving

yeah is it wired up correctly who did the swap and who chipped the ecu

Maybe thats because 90 Integras dont come with vtec installed.....

. Too little information for us to tell you much.
