Sorry this might be a little off topic but i figure if anyone would know what to do in this situation, it would be you guys. I unfortunately live next door to someone who knows nothing about how much time and effort goes into my car. For the past few months now, he has been playing catch with his 2 ***** *** sons infront of his house. I would not usually have a problem with this but, there is no wall dividing our houses and his sons cant throw for **** and, he cant catch for ****. So thats the problem. He has been hitting my car with this baseball and seems to have no problem with it. I have approached him many times kindly, to stop playing infront of my car. However today things got a lil ugly and he still thinks that he can play infront of my car. So im willing to go through some great lengths to teach this ******* a lesson. Hopefully something that wouldnt have to come down to me physically fighting with him or shooting him. So if there are any suggestions, i would greatly appreciate them.

1)Offer to play a game of Run-down the next time he and his kids are playin ball, then get in your car and chase him through the yard!
2)Seriously now, you could always get a sheet of plywood, build a brace and put it in between your car and his yard. (MAJOR EYESORE)
3)IMHO, put a video camera on the car and explains the next time it happens you'll be contacting the authorities and expecting payment to fix, go to a friendly body shop and get the highest estimate you can. Spend the change on parts!
4)Throw the ball at him/his car/his window

Get one of those batting/golf nets and put it on that side of the car.

gets the message across
keeps ball/person from hitting the car

sounds like he desserves to get shot in the foot with a pellet gun.

Same thing happened to me (except with my hatch) which I care about too!
Dad was out there and watched his kids hit the ball and toss it around. They hit almost every car around. I asked the kids to play somewhere else. I even played catch with them in some grass a little ways down, just to show them where I suggest they play. BUT, they still insisted on not paying attention to me asking them to move...SO, I TOOK THEIR BATS! AND BALL

Yes, I feel bad taking away kids toys. I realize it's thier parents fault for not teaching them to respect other people's property. But when you ask them to not play by your car and they say "I don't have to move" I really dont' feel that bad.
In fact they are lucky I didn't beat their 455! Had it been my R, you're damn right I'd of whacked some *** with those plastic bats!

Call the cops show them the dings and tell them it was caused by your neighbors throwing a ball at your car. Any way you look at it its Vandalism to your car.

 

I second that, and get a camera and record what you can just to make sure

 

is his father really that dumb, get a 9mm and shoot some holes in his car, see how he feels

 

my take. it's a car. c'mon man.. it's a car! recently my car was HIT.. yes hIT and paint was taken off my front bumper by an unknown driver in the parking lot. yeah.. i'm angry about it.. but it's a car. you drive it for what's inside.. not what's on the outside.

Kids are great in all but kids with no respect get

 

or just tell him that you have a camera on the car and if any damage is done to the car you will report him and his son to the authorities.

 

Police is the best way. Just keep calling and getting reports written down. Once after 4 reports are taken with proof, you can file for a 2yr restraining order plus court action. How do I know? I have that on 3 different house around me for fu@king with me and my car. How would you like having rednecks drive their trucks at you on the wrong side of the road while driving in your R and almost running you off the road or into parked cars at night! Want to see a photo of all my reports! ahahahah no more trouble now.

 

 

If you want to be a real SOB turn up the sensor on your alarm so if a fly where to land on your car it would chip/ activate.
It might be annoying to you but just think about it maybe He'll stop if the alarm keeps going off over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over.

And No violence, just call the cops and have them take reports and with enough of them you got him by the *****...

Thanks for all of your great suggestions! Everything from running them down with my car, to taking all of their baseball essentials....hahaha, and of course the "bang his wife" approach....hahaha cheers to that one, but no thanks. Its hard not to want to take a bat to the guy's head or put a brick through his window. But I know if i do something like that, im gonna have to live in total fear of my car being destroyed through some type of retaliation on his part. I was also thinking of just hosing them down with water everytime they tried to play ball infront of my yard. But ill definately try taping them the next time that they play ball. I never really thought of calling the authorities, i just didnt think that they would take the situation seriously, especially seeing as how i drive a modified car. Figured they would have "disordeR's" point of view, "its just a car." But i guess there is hope as in Rboosted's situation. cheers! thanks everyone.
