here is your advice, its VTEC, and learn how to search, there is a red button in the upper right hand corner, you'll be amazed how much info you could find in the archives. try not to ask such broad questions, and this forum is for tech, if your not posting tech it your thread belongs in another forum, this belongs in GENERAL imo. now put your flame suit on kid.

I need a GSR transmission. That still leaves $150 for you.

Buy yourself something nice.

Correction - My girlfriend called dibs on the $150.

i'd say upgrade your brakes with nice pads and rotors with a rear disc conversion. Then get a good alarm system. The import scene has really gone down the hole. There are too many ******* theives. My little bros em1 almost got rolled a month back and my uncles ej1/gsr got rolled in broad daylight at school(month ago). Remember a security system works best when installed right!

If you want a significant amount of power out of the D16 with a minimal amount of cost, turbocharging is probably your best option. However, it is going to cost you more than $750 to do that properly. My suggestion would be to save the money you have until you can afford to put together a decent turbo setup.

OH and a few other ideas....get a Cam, cam gear and Edelbrock IM....that should give you a slight increase in power. If you dont ever plan on doing a motor swap. It would be a waste of money to put alot of money in something you are going to swap out.

haha.

But seriously, have you ever looked at your valve cover? Where do these people even GET v-tech from? A misspelling I can possibly understand, but where do people get the hyphen from? Chrissstt.

And my opinion on what to do with the money? I'd purchase a decent coilover setup, or other suspension components and/or nice tires.

If you want ANYTHING to make your car go faster, I'd continue to save your money as you're a bit short on anything that will make your car significantly faster. In the mean time while you continue to save, read up on as much as you possibly can. If you plan to turbo, the best advice ANYBODY can give you is to learn as much as you possibly can before you blindly jump into something of that nature.

So in summary....save your money and continue to "getcha learn on".

Basically...if you can't even spell vtec correctly, You're quite a ways off from doing anything positive under your hood. Please take this advice to heart as it may save you alot of money in the long run. Trust us!

ROFL copter big time.

But either way, I'd say spend half of it on maybe some used suspension or something and save the rest towards a turbo.
