Default My EF'n Braking Problems. Your help is needed

Hello HT, I've got problems with my brakes on my 89 Civic Lx. Here is the problem, when pressure is applied to the brake pedal, it goes almost to the floor before any pressure is applied to the brakes for stopping. And when the brakes do grab, the car pulls hard right. If I have to come to a sudden stop, I must pump the brakes a couple of times before getting on them hard to build up pressure ( again the car pulls hard right) I noticed that on the last snow fall we had, when I locked up the brakes at a stop, only the front right and rear left tires locked up. The brakes have been bled ALOT, and the prevoius owner installed a new master cylinder. HELP

You new master cylinder has either fail or you are leaking some fluid somewhere. Be it a line or a wheel cylinder. Go over the brake system with a FINE TOOTH COMB.

i had a similar problem where it took a couple pumps 2 or 3 so i could get my brakes to stop. I also replaced the MC to a new one, changed the BB, all the lines, and i still had problems

i pulled my caliper off and tried testing it...PISTON WAS STuck!

so try checking your calipers, MC, and Leaks

i agree you could have a siezed caliper causing the pull and the bad pedal feel

I had a similar problem and it was stuck/non-greased sliding pins on the front left caliper.

I think that I have found the problem. Front left caliper bolt is all f'ed up, and the caliper is not sitting on the mount right. Gonna try and get the bracket and new caliper 2morrow.
