I might have found the guy that is stealing my parts on craigslist
in what way can you prove it?
did you mark your parts in any way?
if so, call the cops, let them know what is going on.....
make a buy from the guy, and have an under cover cop go with you....

i wanna hear the evidence...but dont post anything specific that might ruin your case (in case the suspect is watching here). in fact you may have already said too much and might be better just going to the police.

What now? Let me tell you what now. You gonna call a couple of hard, pipe-hittin' brothas to go to work on Holmes with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch. You hear me talkin' hillbilly boy? Get medieval on his ***...
dude... call the cops... if they don't do anything or you think this one guy is going to sell it before the cops take action.. Do what that one guy said up there. Get a bunch of your friends and make him not steal anything in his life...

if you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the parts are yours, you have a reciept, you have pictures of the special mod on the parts, or other photos showing these identifyable traits.
call the detective that handled your stolen car, and if they care they can get a warrant and a raid done.
i recently found a friends weds wheel. made contact to verify wheels next day i put a raid together (i work for the sheriff's depart.) and the wheels were back in the hands of the owner.
the only way you are going to get your stuff back without getting yourself in trouble is by contacting the police. so get off of here and make some calls

Plus I am making calls to all the police stations that "should" handle this, no help, all gave me the same response "We Can't help you"

Then show some interest in the parts, meet up the thief, then proceed with the beatdown. Maybe you should start with paintball guns as an appetizer?

I do not believe the police are not interested.
I also work as a drugs/ vice detective and have done numerous undercover purchases of stolen stereo gear. (my specialty)
Nothing better than to watch our SRT Team raid a house while Im in the driveway.

case is not closed if you found your parts from that car.. the case can be reopened. the detective is just being lazy. cases can be reopened with any new information... like i said he/she is being lazy...

im not sure what case number you have on your report, but where ever that report was generated (written) that is the station who will have to handle the case. you should have been given a detective. if he/she tells you they can not do anything.
i would suggest talking with dayshift senior officer, or the day shift sgt. and even the dayshift lieutenant. and let them know this detective refuses to help you and is telling you a lie that the case can not be reopened and you are putting in a complaint. no senior, sgt nor Lt wants any baggage especially a lazy detective's and they will get things rolling.
understand making a complaint with any law enforcement agency will get them to perform especially if you have solid new information about your case and you are being told the case if closed....
do not take no for an answer, if all you get is no, i suggest going up the latter...
