Default a hammer and a screw driver, this isnt going to work

alright so Im trying my damndest to adjust my coilovers. I only have one wrench which isnt even for this set and it barley stays on the perch grooves. I tried it and I cant get it to work on more than one side. My coilovers are H&R not sure if that even helps. I tried using a hammer and a screw driver (then used a pickle fork) and got one sides bottom perch sort of loose. These coilovers have been on for a while and are all dirty and stuff, I sprayed them with liquid wrench. Any ideas here would be great. I ordered a adjustable spanner wrench and a coil compressor, Im going to try to compress the springs and try to loosen them.

I had mine rusted to the shock, I tried everything, including heat, I didnt want to destroy it or the shock so i had to cut the perch with a dremel to get it loose then I had to weld it back together

I broke the spanner wrenches on mine too. I just put it on a lift, sprayed them with pb blasters and went to work with the screwdriver and hammer. It worked eventually.

Easiest thing you can do is to remove the sleeve and perches together then clean them with brake cleaner-and air if you have it-then pinch the edge of the unthreaded part in a bench vise or vise grip and use a large channel locks to break the perches loose and turn then onto clean threads, then clean the threads that were under them and put silicone lube in all the threads and after this you'll be able to adjust them by hand once they're cracked loose. I do it to all my sets (silicone lube) when I install them keeps 'em from locking up!

I wish I had a vise, have not got around to buying one yet, Im going to try to leave it bolted to the LCA and use it for leverage although they are not sleeved, the threads are on the actual shocks. Should not make it any harder though. Unfortunatly they dont sell PB Blaster here so Im stuck with either WD-40 or Liquid Wrench or The Royal Purple Lithium Spray Lube stuff.

I have it on jack stands, they still will not budge. I pounded the crap out of them with a mini-sledge and the pickle fork and the top one on the back pass side wont even move.

Thanks
