Will a 96' teg master cyl. work on a civic...
i need to know if it will work mechanically... im not worried about the lines but the actual teg Master cylinder will bolt up to the civic booster and work fine.
thanks

You can look at it and see. If the bolts are diagonal say one at 2 and the other at 8 o'clock, then you need the integra booster. If they're horizontal, 3 and 9 then it should bolt right up. I have a 00 integra MC in my 98 EK/EJ

Well, my EK/EJ isn't complaining. I took off the stock MC and stuck on the 00 Integra R MC no fuss no muss. I'd installed 11" brakes on the front and wanted more fluid flow.

okay your question kind of confused me.
It's been a while since I've messed with brakeboosters and master cylinders but I believe that the regular integra master cylinder is the same as the civic MC's.
If I rememeber correctly, the only one that is more efficient among hondas is the ITR mc. Most MC's are 7/8 where as the ITR MC is 1". The ITR master cylinder will work fine with your car mechanically, but most people only put them on their ride if they put rear discs or bigger brakes.
It's just a matter of whether or not the master cylinder has the same bolt pattern. You need one that matches the brake booster. When I put the ITR master cylinder on my car, I used an integra brake booster and had to flare the lines a bit. I also put the 99-00 Civic Si 40/40 proportioning valve which was a direct bolt on.
