Default Dumb question but gotta ask

In hours spent searching through the groups archives to remedy a current problem I have come across links from other members to service bulletins.

Example: hondalac.com/servicebulletins

These are great. Can these be purchased? Where if so? Is this dealer only information? Is this what we pay the big bucks for???

The only manuals I can get my hands on are Helms or Chiltons and Service Manuals that aren't much more helpful then a Helms or Chiltons.

Any input on there???

I don't really understand your question, if it's for service manuals (ie how to take apart your car and fix crap) them Helms is one of the best, there's a couple available online and while you should pay for them you don't necessarily have to. They are worth the money however. I was given an electronic version when I bought the car and fixed the door actuators myself - that alone saved me $200 in labor

Ok..... I guess what I'm trying to say is that as helpful as a Helms manual might be the "service bulletins" as I mentioned seem to be extremely detailed. Part numbers, symptoms, pics, step by step process etc. The format alone looks like something that could only be privy to a dealer service dept.

Maybe my question should be, What are these service bulletin.pdf files that I see attached to post? They look really helpful.

You did mention that you don't have to pay for the info..... how? I don't mind a $$$ if it will fix the problem. Just being bent over for a simple fix is my problem.

With a little advanced search I found more data on tech service bulletins. I know what there are now. Yep, for the dealer of common problems and repair procedures.

Thanks anyhow....

When I bought my new car the guy before me passed them down the line kinda haha.

If you're looking for like the part numbers and what not i think it's hondaautomotiveparts.com (it's in the FAQ) which has a list of part numbers, the detailed exploded schematics, etc. you can even order from them
