Default 91 Accord strange miss or spudder

Sitting at a red light or heavy traffic for a stop sign while in "drive" (its a AT by the way) I get sporatic "misses" or spudders like the car whats to stall. It "pitches its fit" and regains composure. Meanwhile, under normal driving conditions, hill climbing, traffic merges this car runs like new not a "miss" to be felt. I have notice since the problem started a few wks ago the car is harder to start especially after its been warmed up and it will "act-up" right after its been started and the car is engaged in gear, either forward or reverse. Does anyone have a clue what might be up? This might be a broad explanation but I'm just as baffled as this sounds. Where should I start first. The CEL isn't on. Let me know if there is anymore detail I can provide.
I have taken advice from all in the group and have spent 3hrs looking through the achives and I've been tossed around from a tune-up to sensors, to vaccum lines and clogged converters.

TIA

My car has a semi-rough idle due to a cracked motor mount. It might not be your problem but I have been known to guess things right by just blurting stuff out? lol

I do appriecate the input, but it isn't just a rough-idle. Actually the idle is smooth and consistant 99% of the time. No high revs...nothing. Heck, I just noticed if I sit in the car after its warmed up(actually the ride to work about 7mi)with the car in drive and foot on the brake it will start to act up. Missing, brief spudders etc. Stick it back in park and its fine.

This does suck the nearest dealer is about 75 mi from here and I've never left there with a bill under $300

Thanks again.
