Default Exhaust question, please don't cut me down...

I'm in the market for a cat-back exhaust system for my Accord... It's the 2.3L. I looked at Magnaflow, all they make is the 2.2L systems and they said it won't work on my car . I looked around on ebay and found this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting
Is that a good deal for that exhaust and do they sound good? I want loud but not really ricer loud... more performance loud when you get on the gas. I found another one that's cheaper but I haven't ever heard of it... maybe some of you have... It's called Hayame. Anyone know anything about it... any good or no? Oh and by the way, does anyone know if that Skunk2 kit is for a 2.3 or 2.2? It doesn't say and why would it be different? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to do everything right the first time around so I won't be wasting money.

and they do have the application. i think the
stock number is MPE-15690.

If it is listed as 98-02 4 cylinder (sedan or coupe, whatever you have) it will work. They may just have the incorrect engine size listed.

Okay thanks alot! Alot of them are calling them 2.2s... I don't know why unless the non-vtec 98-02 4 cylinders are 2.2s?

Thats the 5th gen accord engines. They're the 2.2L or F22 while you and I have a 6th gen with a 2.3L or F23a1/4.

And the exhaust and all is the same or what? Just misinformed salespeople?

No the exhausts wouldn't be the same, your car is much larger than ours (length wise at least) So they wouldn't be swappable in that fashion. Mufflers are mostly generic though, so it'd be mostly the piping

There really aren't a whole lot of exhausts for the I-4 6th gen accord. I think Greddy and Apex'i are the two major exhaust systems that can be bought for the 6th gen I-4. I am selling my apex'i world sport 2 for $250 shipped if your interested. It is definitely on the quiet side in my opinion.

But if it is listed for your year and body style it will work.
