Default Yes I searched; question on GSR and Legend brake swap

Hi, I'm getting a GSR soon (if everything goes through) and have been collecting various parts for it. So far have a new set of black gt3s with polished lip, new tires, remote start/alarm/keyless entry, oem itr spoiler, and a set of front ITR calipers left over from a planned swap onto the civic.

Today I bought some rear calipers from a 91-95 Legend. The front swap looks easy. Shave a little off the bracket, prelude vtec 4x114 redrilled to 4x100 rotors. I've been having a bit of trouble trying to find information on the rear swap.

Has anyone done this swap, and if so what suggestions do you have? I guess I would have to get different rotors and possibly shave a little off the bracket, but I'm concerned about ebrake.

If anyone has some tips, lemme know. Thanks

well, itr/legend brakes are practically the exact same thing. The legend rears are actually an inch bigger (depending on the year).

I have ITR fronts and Legend 11.2" rears.

The newer Legend GS had brakes like the nsx, older ones were 1 piston like ITR

I can help with the front. The Legend 2 piston calipers are directional. When properly mounted for directionality (smaller piston leads), the bleeders will face downwards. You need to redrill the bleeders to make this work properly. Otherwise, you will have uneven pad wear. I opted for the ITR calipers for this reason.

I am glad that you are opting for the Prelude 4x114.3mm rotors for the redrill. Only those rotors have the correct 64mm center bore for the hub. Pictures of my redrill are in this thread.

Thanks, I'm using the 1 piston legend fronts though and those aren't a problem.

I just need to figure out the back brakes.
