Aright guys i just got a 98 hatch and i tried to pass my state somke inspections and i failed for this :
P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
P0505 Idle Control System Malfunction
P0509<<<< I dont know what this code is

how can i fix this codes , so i can pass my emissions?
And can i just go back and reflash my ECU to pass them?

Your MAP sensor is hooked up wrong ..... or dead.

You need a new catalytic converter.

Clean out your IACV.

P0509 is another IACV problem (high voltage).

 

are you sure that is the catalyc converter instead of being the O2 sensor?
and what's? and how do i clean the IACV?

You could do a search ..... that might be worthwhile.

 

i did , i still dont really know how the part looks like but i get the idea

 

Can you elaborate on your setup a bit? Is the car completely stock?
