Default Engine Front Mount Cracked

Well I was doing a oil change yesterday and I notice my front mount was cracked (I don't know how long ago it has been that way). So I was wondering... How long can I drive my car with this front mount. Is it necessary for me to change it immediately?

i dont think your in immediate danger cause the front mount prevents engine rock more than anything, but i would get it fixed as soon as possible...

Thats a known problem, the motor mount is weak. Won't cause "damage" per say, but it will stress everything else from the extra motion. I'd change it as soon as possible, its not hard to do.

Is there any Aftermarket mounts for a 01 Civic? I've been searching for better mounts then the ones I have but I have no luck in finding any. (anything but the OEM)

no one really makes anything you're going to want to use. Energy suspension makes poly inserts (which requires you to use an OE mount), but a lot of people I know who tried them ripped em right back out because it makes the car vibrate like hell. Just stick with the OE one, and pop a new one in.

id say replace the mount and get an engine damper so the engine doesnt rock as much therefore putting less stress on all the mounts!!

Yeah... I think I'm going to get it replaced by next week sometime.

I have 1 more Question.
Is it safe for me to do any highway driving still?
