My wife owns a 2003 Honda Accord with the stock Alpine navi. We both wanted to know how the navi in the 2006+ Civic Si compares, if anyone knows. Or, in general, what are your opinions concerning the Civic Si's navi? Thanks for your time.

 

The oem SI navi is great i haven't had 1 complaint yet it sucks that it dosent play dvd's that's the only negative i am sure the accord navi is similar if its made by alpine as well.

I don't know about you but I think an in-dash DVD might distract me while driving. I know pioneer makes one that is commonly installed in the 8th gen civic, but OEM is fine with me

i THINK the 03 navi was the same as my 05 tsx or similar..
trunk mounted "drive/brain" interior monitor etc etc

the Screen in the accord /tsx was 8" i believe where as the civic = 6.5

more commands could have been used in my TSX... also was integrated to the mileage so you could get mpg etc etc.

the civic navi is great.. but little things like that i miss. and the "flip down" display is a hassle to change a cd while in motion.

old tsx/accord have the 6cd in dash

It's illegal to drive while playing a dvd in an in-dash dvd player. ......Never stopped me though.
