diff. ways to mount tachometer

Default diff. ways to mount tachometer

hey guys right now i have a cluster of gauge just sitting beside my a pillar i have a 3 1/2 tach stuck to the dash with two sided tape...a boost gauge taped down with electrical tape and a oil pressure gauge wedged in between them lol it needs to be cleaned up ...im going to put the the gauges in a a pillar pod and im getting the autometer 5 inch tach but i absolutely do not want to drill any holes does any one have a special way to do it??????

buy a tach pod from autometer it fits a tach and 2 guages

i think there only around 60-70 dollars

edit- only for 92-95 civics

I mounted mine on the pillar,mine does not sit close to the glass at all it sits really close to the steering wheel but works perfect.I do not know if i would recommend that pod cause you drill into the dash to mount it or i guess you could use body tape but i wouldn't use it.

well i dont want to use that ac pod thing i dont like the look of it and how it wouldnt be in my peripheral vision .......maybe some zipties and 2 sided tape???

Why does it need to be in your direct line of sight? Isn't that the reason it has an obnoxiously bright shift light on it?

i personally love the dash pod cause i got one also but if you don't like that you can get the radio block off thing and cut it out for you gauges but i don't know what your gonna do with the tach

well ive really thought about it and i realized since i need a tach in my car and my cluster doesnt have one im gonna keep that tach there forever so i wont really see the holes...

Or you could do something really super uber jdm rare and cool ....

like buying an EX cluster.

yeah i was gonna do that from the beginning to make it look more clean but then i realized that that tach is supposedly off by +/- 400 rpms and also it doesnt have a shift lite which i want when i go to the drag strip.

Why the hell would a Honda factory tachometer with a Honda factory motor be off by 400RPMs .... but Autometer is spot on?

i dont know i was reading that somewhere and they compared the two and the real reading was the autometer one......really it doesnt matter

umm actually i learned how to drive stick on my own with no tachometer for two years but i wanna shift where my powerband ends, if you can tell me EXACTLY what rpm im at when driving then u might as well come in my car and do it...jesus your the reason H-T gets a bad name....

couldent you just use an ex/si gague cluster then buy a shift light and put that some where then buy a radio blockoff plate then put the two other gagaues in there like someon else mentioned

hahahaha what ever works i guess thats funny. you should just get some string and let them hang from the rear veiw like fuzzy dice.
