Default Axle/CV problem with brand new axles?

Ok sooo i had the exact symptoms as stated in a few threads before about bad axles...loud clicking\binding noise coming from wheels when i turned sometimes
It wasnt always just when i took some sharp turns

Well i had both sides replaced with brand new ones...and i still have the clicking and now vibration when accelerating.....what could it be now?

Car:
95 Civic
b18b swap
axles for a 95 Teg

Any help very appreciated

jack up the car and take the wheel off .. see if the spindle has play in it.. hold the lugs bolt and shake it.. does it have play.. if the whole thing moves thats ok but if the spindle has play and the know kuckle don;t move its your bearing.. hard to descripe the smallest things..

defective axle, point blank, its the only way you will have both symptoms at the same time.

well, you can inspect them and if they are culprit usually you can tell. get under the car while its on jackstands and grab the outer cv joint with one hand and the inner joint with the other, now rotate either slightly, if you feel ANY play between the two thats the problem, BUT usually a vibration under acceleration will be worn inner cv bearings. grab the inner cv axle with one hand and slightly rotate the wheel with the other, if there is ANY movement that way its the problem.

in an average week i install probably 8-10 axles all remanufactured, and of those 8-10 i would say 50% are defective, and the customer returns within months. remanufactured axles just arent worth it. we are forced to use them because the company i work for has a contract with them so we are stuck until the contract is up.

check them first, but its almost a garenteed thing with both symptoms.

It is also possible that there is something worn in the transmission housing. The axles could be moving inside the transmission casing and making similar noise to a wheel bearing or cv-joint.
It could also be the opposite side of the car from what you think.
Lots of times when you are in the car you can mistakenly think the sound is left when right or vice versa. It sounds silly but check both sides for wheel bearing play.
Also, if it is a manual transmission check to see if you need new bearins to support the driveshafts....is you VSS tight? that rattles sometimes when it is loose and sounds like a bearing rattle.

Just some thoughts.

i have never heard a wheel bearing rattle. if the axles were moving inside the tranny housing the oil seals would be TOAST and fluid would be leaking.

I was thinking it was tie rods or something dealing with the steering rack....dk...

Welp ima bring it back to my mechanic with a new axle have him change it and go from there.
Hes usually the type a guy to tell me if something else is wrong....like he'll check out most things and if they dont need changing he wont do it...hes not in it to rip me off...just a real good honest guy.

Thanks for the info again fellas

the only time the axle seal/s need replaced is if they are leaking or torn during removal/installation.
