i had made a topic on this before, got help, and looked at other topics, but im still getting nowhere.
Sorry its longwinded, but i try to get all the details in there for you guys to knowwhats going on and being asked.:
d16z6 in a 91 crx hf. i tried to wire the 4 wire o2 sensor to my ecu but didnt work. I had asked on honda-tech and was told what wires goes to which pin. I would like seocond, third, and however many suggestions/directions as to which pins equal which wire. i did it for 3 hours cause electrical is a new and scary thing for me to waltz into.
This is the instructions i was told last time:
Wires on 4 wire O2:
WHITE: Signal Wire
GREEN: Signal Ground
2 BLACK: Both black wires are the heater circuit wires.
Using a P28 ECU (and should work for most obd1 ecu's with 4-wire controls)
Run O2 Sensor signal (white) To D14
Run O2 Sensor signal Ground (green) to D22 (or any good Ground)
Run O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Control (black) to A6
Run the other black heater circuit power wire to (A25) or any good switched +12VDC source.
(you may mix up the black wires... if car dies after it is warm/10-30 seconds, that's the first thing to swap over and troubleshoot.. theres no way to tell one from the other by looking at them)
right, wrong? which ever it may be, any tips on wiring/pining to help ensure i get it right? btw: my ecu harness does have the conversion harness added to it already.
My other little problems (optional, but apprieciated)
throwing codes 1,6,7. i know what 1 is, and 6 and 7 are temp control sensor and tps if i remember correctly? i had gotten rid of one cause the tps sensor was knocked off cause the clip on it is broken so bumping it knockes it off. I plugged it back in, reset the ecu, it still is showing as a code. As if im dumb, what the proper way to "reset" your ecu jsut so i can hear it from scratch like im a moron
i hope im naming it right (the sensor between the firewall and the iacv). I replaced my temp sensor (right below the distributor) and still nothing. Anything else casing this?
so its basically in all:
a)- o2 hell
b)- tps (thing i explained)
c)- temp sensor
i want to try and get these fixed so i can get rid of the check engine light and help ensure my engine doesnt die on me by improper care. ned it to live for rebuilding and booooooooooost!
