Offset, and tire question?
So I did a search, but couldn't find a solid answer. I drive a '90 CRX Si, the car has a 2" drop, and I'm running roughly -1.5 degrees of camber. I'm planning on buying some 15x7 wheels with a +40 offset. Can I safely run a 205 width tire, or will I have rubbing issues? Should I just stick to 195's.. I have 15x6.5 wheels right now, but they have a +35 offset, and 205's rubbed on those wheels. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

more than likely your gonna rub, why dont you just roll your fenders? on my 88dx i have a 3+ inch drop on 15x6.5 w/205/50's with a +32 offset..i have no rubbing issues.. my camber is @
-2.5 rear -2.0 front..my front/rear fenders are rolled...
either
a:roll your fenders
or
b:add more negative camber (inner tire wear is not an issue, especially with scheduled wheel rotations)
BTW: ive ran 15X7 with a +35offset 205/50's also.. no rubbing whatsoever either..

Thanks for the solid answer. It's much appreciated man. I had 205 Falken Azenis on my 15x6.5 rims, with a +35 offset, and @ -1.5 degrees of camber, rolled fenders, and it rubbed pretty bad. Pretty much, my best option would be to dial in more negative camber, but I have to be honest, my current camber setup really prolongs my tire life, and I commute daily in my CRX. I think i'm just going to run a 195 width tire on my new wheels. Thanks again man!
