Default viper alarm emergency... pls help

my bro is stuck right now because his viper alarm wont recognize his remote. this just happened out of nowhere. if its anything like my viper, he wont be able to start the car. he changed the remote battery but its not it.

what are his choices in order to actually getting the alarm off and starting the car with the key?

Valet switch should somehow be connected by a wire from the Viper Alarm.

I dont really remember how to override the alarm.
But i think you set your car to the on position, press the valet switch the correct number of times (1-5) and then start car?

It was something like that.
