Default Cv joint busted?

There is a constant repeating sound of marbles coming from my driver side front wheel when I am travelling straight on the highway. Can a embedded nail in the tire cause this noise? The noise is most apparent when I am travelling on the highway, but mostly at speeds between 35 to 50mph. Or is my CV joint busted? My CV boot is not leaking any grease.

did you drive your car with low tire pressure? you could've ruined the inside of the tire causing little rubber pellets inside the tire tumbling around.

I did not drive the car on low tire pressure. The pressure is always good with constant checks weekly. Will these pallets be an issue if I continue to drive the car? Would the tire shops know whether the tire is wasted?

Hold the wheel at 12 and 6 and see if there is any free play.

Thank you everyone for all the inputs. The problem turned out to be a small stone embedded in the tire where the sound is coming from. Stone was removed and all is good now.

Yokohama Advan Neovas rock! Grips well and acceleration has increased from the RT215s. They have a weight difference of 4.4pounds per tire.
