2 extra hoses left after throttle swap HelP!!
Alright I got a d15b7 with stock manifold and just swithced the stock throtle body with a b18 throtle body. All the electrical plugs (just one I beleave) fit fine and everything...but after I conected all of the possible hoses to the b18 throttle body, as close as I could get from the stock one. I noticed that two hoses..a small one and a medium one that connected to the top of the stock throdle body, can't be conected to the b18's throttle body. It obviously has a sensor on top that I have no use for really or an electrical plug for it..so its bear...but the extra hoses? Where can I put them? Are they needed? Cuz after paying close attention to where they are connected...its just for air..I might be wrong and that's why I'm here. The medium sized hoseis from the cylinder located on the bottom of the fuil pump. And the little hose is from the right side of the fuel pump (sensor/ plug connection).

the sensor on top is your map sensor.. you might have another map sensor connected to a vacuum line.. you can use the one on top its the same thing just plug it in take the stock one out

Thanks for the info on the sensor...but I'm uising the one on the side. But where the top sensor is at now (b18 thottle body) is where on the stock (d15b7) throttle body had 2 hoses connected to it...and now I don't have a place to put them cuz I can't swich parts off the stock and put it on the b18...I jsut want to no if they are needed and what they are for (2 hoses)
Thanks
Thanks

how dose the car run? just trace and plug the hoses and if it runs ok then your fine chances are is is for smog b/s just as long as all of the above in the quote is hooked up your good to go!

sounds to me like your map sensor is currently on the firewall and that the new TB has the map sensor on it. unplug the map sensor from the firewall and connect the connector onto the new TB.
the 2 hoses that you have left over go to your purge tank the cylinder on your fire wall not the fuel pump thats in the tank. they are not required any more just block them off with a bolt or something simillar make sure it seals or your idle will prob b all over the place and see how it runs, some people to away with the purge system all together i dont no y
