Default Suspension advice

hey everyone, im looking for some advice for a suspension set up. i have a 96 integra ls, minimum mods so far. (cold air, axle back, cam gears advanced 3 degrees each, 270cc injectors) im looking to lower my car a bit, with a stiffer race-style feel, but ok for daily driving. i was looking at kyb agx's with nueseep springs, but ive heard coil overs could be a better set up. Any advice???

We need more info to help better your answer.

Do you plan on tracking the car? If so, what kind?
What kind of budget are you working with?
How much of a drop do you want?
Do you want ride height adjustability?

i mite take it to a track every once in a while, not often enough to get suspension just for that. Money.. free? lol im looking for a good price between 600 and 900. I dont want a huge drop, not more than 2.5 in the front and back. adjustability would be nice, but not completely nessicary

What kind of track: drag, road race, auto-x?

I would recommend Koni Yellows and Ground Control Coilovers. The setup will run you around 800 dollars. But you might want a front camber kit and will you need a alignment after the suspension install. Therefore this setup is at the top of your budget.

The koni's will be able to handle your drop with out worry of blowing and can handle a 400-500lb spring rate without needing revalving. Also, you can adjust the dampening externally if needed, and they have three spring perches which add to its height adjustability. The best thing about them though, is that they have a life time warranty.

Ground Control Coilovers are great because you can order custom spring rates if you want without paying more (the off the shelf rates work great). And with coilovers you can adjust the height.

If you want to lower cost you could always just go with a set of springs that give you a drop of your liking. Also, with the Koni's you can set the springs on 3 different perches giving you a bit more of adjustability.

Do a search on the Koni's and GCC's, or just the Koni's and read what people have to say about them. I am currently using the Koni and GCC setup for more than 40k miles and 2+ years and have no complaints. Don't forget to include archived content when searching.
