I have a 92 accord and when the engine is warm and i stop at a light the idle is rough and inconsistent. it revs to about 2k and drops to about 1k and it happens continuously. can anyone help me ?

Vacuum leak?
Iacv?
Air pocket in the coolant?

 

Also check the basics. Cap, rotor, wires.

After you have followed SLAM's advice (vacuum or air leak, idle air control valve),
other very good possibilities are: THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR and the MAP sensor and perhaps the EGR valve.

Afterwards, it's very important to set the correct idle speed and to reset the computer. (For more info, do a search under SETTING IDLE SPEED in the http://www.honda-acura.com forum.)
