Default h22 ek

I got a h22 in my ek, I'm havin some problems with the motor hittin the frame.

every time I turn the motor leans and the head hits the frame. to give you an idea of where it hits: where the strut bar mounts on to area, if thats any help.

If someone has done this swap cleanly please help me. what should I do. whats the proper way to do this.

OK so it hits the frame rails? It must move A LOT. It sounds like you need to buy different mounts. Also this belongs in the hybrid section.

no... this can be answered here. what brand are the mounts, different companys have different locations. ie: cheaper price. i have h22 in my eg, with no banging anything in. also check all your mounts and make sure they are tight, including your rear T mount.

edit: oh yea, check my sig for a good quote to use now that your in the h family.

^^^Yea for real, the only people who are gonna know anything about these motors are people who have messed with them.

I had the same problem. You need to cut the part of the valve cover off that goes over the cam gears, or bang the frame in. I, personally, would just cut the valve cover.

And, after you do that, make sure that that drivers side mount is good. You don't want the cams banging up against the frame. Then you would have many problems.

What kind of engine mounts ? The engine should not be moving side to side, front to back yes, side to side no.

Get it replaced ASAP.

Can't have the motor banging around. It'd suck if something screwed up with it.
