Default Rebuilding a Blow Off Valve???

Pic of BOV in question:

A friend of mine has a Greddy blow off valve on his Eclipse GSX, and today he tried to tighten it up with the adjusment nut/screw, and it just spins like the screw is stripped somehow...

I know nothing about how BOV's work, but I was wondering if it can be rebuilt in any way to fix it?

I told him to get it home, take it off, and try taking it apart and seeing if something has come loose inside...

Thoughts on this??

The motor is stock for now, so I don't think he's running 25-30psi, and there's no budget for a "better one"... But that really didn't answer the question...

Can these be rebuilt or fixed???
