Default Type-One muffler any takers?

Type-One muffler for sale

MODS: If you find this in a inappropriate forum to post this on you may delete it. I had posted this in the classifieds, but no real luck getting the itr owners to reply.

For sale: Type One muffler only used for an hour and found out it was a tad too loud for me and went back to stock. If anybody is interested IM me. Thanks in advance.

sorry not interetsed, but a quick question.

Was it to loud with the silencer? or didn't you have one. I was thinking of getting a new exhaust and was looking at the type one. but wasn't sure about the sound.

depends if you have any other mods. just the muffler section alone, its not that loud. but if you are running a jdm header along with a 2.5 cat, it will be alot louder.

yeah those type of mufflers are all generally loud without silencer... testing the APEXi N1 and my generic coffee can exhaust, the dB levels were all around 95... exceeding it at certain points. Basically it gets annoying at freeway speeds and you basically cannot hold a conversation with anyone CUZ YOU CANT HEAR!!

however, with the silencer, its sound level is only a tad louder than stock. but then again power gains are only a tad better... and thats mid range power, which hardly helps much on the top end. I'm personally thinking about getting a magnaflow.

How's the Type One compare to Apexi N1 and Tanabe RM in terms of noise level?

I can compare my type one to the Apexi N1.

Type-one - deeper and more quiet up till 5.5K rpms. It gets totally quiet after that for some odd reason. It's almost like a VTEC crossover with the exhaust.

Apexi n1 - not as loud as type one. deep but not was deep. Gets kind of raspy and screams during vtec.

Are you saying the Type one is quiet after 5.5k rpms? It just like my friend's Tanabe RM (on a Prelude), the noise is loudest when it's 3-4k..... strange....

Yes, it's very strange but I love how it gets quiet. The Ti version of the type-one is a bit different than the SS one though. I think sound wise it's probably the same.

Type One

B2 - who is still waiting on the b-pipe.

In my opinion, Type One is way too loud, even with the silencer. The cost of performance

Are you kidding me? With the silencer it sounds like a deeper version of stock. When the exhaust is not even warmed up yet, you can't even tell. It's more quiet than stock.
