Default Taillight center garnish: Can you seperate it?

I picked up a red taillight garnish today to replace my bent black one. The only problem with it is that the inside of it has a little bit of black mold.

Is there a way to seperate these two halves so that I can clean the inside?

A heat gun and some serious time, don't pull to hard or it will crack.

O and by the way yes a heat gun is the way to go!

yea its probably easy with an oven.. my mom kicked my *** when i attempted to use hers. she was worried about fumes sticking inside the oven. and some how gettin on the food when she cooks in it. so i used a 20 dollar heat gun
