How well do ebay turbos work?

 

They work just like any other turbo. Do you know how a turbo works?

The only problem you're going to run into is quality and craftsmanship.

Do a search on "xspower" and "ssautochrome."

do you want glue on something spinning and several thousand RPM's?

 

well the problem usally is the manifold is much too weak for the weight of the turbo. the piping isnt all that great, i would say search but the problem with that is the posts are so old that referring to them isnt really giving you much info. i actually have one of those turbos kits sitting around and it isnt glued together maybe the one they had 3-4 yrs ago was. honestly tho for the price it would be much easier to buy a used greddy turbo kit or something and most if not everything you need would be included for around the same price

I know a guy from Fresno that has one of these on his car installed last year as for the pipe I can tell you from people i know it is always held up just gotta t-bolt it!

Intercooler and all of that was fine as for the manifold no problems as of yet but i am not saying that could not happen!

as for the turbo no problems yet and made well into the 300 range of power with out any problems street driven

That’s not to say i do not take your point about what you said just offering some reassurance

i installed 2 of these kits.. on d series one beseries.. the bseries manifold had the turbo hitting the block.. no way to bolt down the manifold.. had to flip theturbo around and have a custom down pipe made.. the do work but will break on you,, save up and get something nice.. the treadstone one on ebay looks pretty good i would searh on honda-tech see what peoples experiences are with it.. and its less then 2k..
