Check engine light came on last night, got the code checked today. Erased the code when I checked and it came right back.
I obviosuly did some research and it all points to the dizzy/basic ignition system it looks like. Just looking for any ideas/pointers before i start replaceing items and testing.
*edit*
forgot to add, I was just driving normal, not in vtec or any bs like that. Just driving back from ocharleys to home.

Yes, car is stock.
Yes, car is stock.
Disconnect the distributor 10P connector, and measure the resistance between the terminals for the CYP (4 and 8, yellow and black wires). Also, check for continuity to ground from each terminal to vehicle, making sure no shorts. Either you have a short, or its the dizzy housing, or worst case, your ECM.
if it's a hard code for the cyp, 9 times out 10 you need a distributor. cyp is built into the housing of the distributor and will give a code that wont clear.
