i have an 07 civic ex automatic and when i go in reverse then stop and put it in drive it makes a clinking noise while shifting is this normal?

 

make sure your at a COMPLETE STOP before shifting

ALSO if your on any time of incline..your putting pressure on the trans and might experience "hard auto shifts"

heres a tip
if your on an incline...
pull the ebrake up while in Drive..
after that... shift to park

when it comes time to move the car later... ZERO sounds.

Usually at the dealership...with a manual.. or si hahha

Just kidding... but seriously...


Personally i wouldnt waste the $ doing anything perf in the ex and auto..
get some HFP suepension.. maybe the oem lip kit
bank your $ and down the line get a car thats "performance" based to dump some cash into.. si ... gti etc etc

 

well i also have a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse turbo and a 90 rx7 turbo so i may just leave this one stock
