Like the topic says, jdm itr pistons(11.5cr) or wiesco(12.5cr). My problem is that on 12/31/06 i dropped a valve and busted 3 holes in the #4 piston, bent the rod and scratched the cylinder wall.
Now here are the options:
1. Rebuild the motor using jdm itr oversize pistons, or
2. Purchase a jdm itr block w/12.5 weisco pistons machined by comptech. Block was used 3 times in the us touring races. Then keep the other block as a spare.
Keep in mind that the cost will be a $200. difference. This motor will be going in my itr which i dont have to drive daily, probably every other weekend so i don't mind spendind the extra cash on 93 octane.
As far as other mods, port and polish head, 3 angle valve job, twm itbs, sk2 stage 3 cams, springs, retainers, aem cam gears and toda timing belt.
My goal is just to have a descent, well tuned R. Thank you in advance for any help, advice and/or suggestions. I am open to all comments, positive and negative.
