Default Ok what engine is this?

So I just picked up another rex tonight and it has a dual (D16A8) motor what year is it and where did it come from?

I can't say for sure, but if I remember correctly isn't the D168/9 euro spec ZC? Can anyone confirm?

Found in the EDM Honda Concerto 1.6l and Rover 219/419.

so it's basically a euro ZC??? what is different from the japanese ZC?

Yeah. I don't believe there are any differences. If it's on the Rover, it will have an ugly valve cover with stripes that says "16V". If it's on the Concerto, the valve cover looks the same as the jap DOHC ZC.

yup exactly right it says dohc 16 valve with stripes.....................so there is no difference then? compression and everything is the same?

I'm pretty sure they are the same. I think the only differences are whether or not they were originally run with a Cat or not, which will change their listed power ratings. The A8, A9, and ZC should all be 9.5:1 compression and use the P29 piston.

actually, 88-91 DOHC ZCs use a PM7 piston - 88-89 Integras and OBD1 DOHC ZCs have the P29 pistons

Is there even a difference between the PM7 and P29 pistons? They look the same to me.
