Default Engine noise.

Hello,
I'm really not sure how the type-R engine should suppose to sound like.
my itr is 100% stock about 30,000 miles on it..
I know type-Rs' are naturally loud cars but for me it sounds very ugly to me
the engine sounds like... raining? from the cockpit or like.. i dunno how to explain
but fast tiny tiny clicking noise with all those weird noises.
(from anywhere 1500 til before vtec)
is it normal? or do i need valve adjustments?
im asking if i need Valve adjustments because few of my mechanic friends
already telling me valve adjustments are for older model cars
and i shouldn't be needing it..
I am not sure if its me just paranoid or its how it should be..
can someone tell me lil bit about it?
thanks!

If the car is driven hard I would recommend every 15,000 mile valve adjustments.
Why not get in there and check them out. Easy!

^ Good advice.

Start there, and see if the problem persists.

lol

probably normal sounds from the valves/injectors. try a valve adjustment and DONT take the car to the people that told you only older cars need valve adjustments. take it to someone who knows what they are talking about, or pick up a manual, search the archives, check c-speedracing.com and learn to do it yourself.

I second that because we all know the fun starts when vtec kicks in so naturally its a high revving motor. So take some very good advice and you should get it asap. I didn't get a valve adjustment and dropped a valve, busting 3 holes in my #4 piston and bending the rod. The cost in down time, parts and stress: PRICELESS!!!
