I just finished installing the rear speakers on my 00 Civic DX and it was a pain in the ***. I used the following article;

Only gripe about this article is it looks like his car is a right hand drive. So it was not consistent to what i experienced. Things I came across that was not featured in the article;

1. Rear interior side panels where not held in by any screws.
2. Also on the back deck there where three brackets... think they where child restraints or something. I took them out.

Partial reason for me writing this is to get a general grasp of the article I used. For example if there are other sites that perform the same concept. For maybe even a US Honda. Also I installed speakers from Rockford's Lightning Audio division and I was wondering if I made a bad decision. On a side note it took me three hours. Man I am sore.

Also one question... which i know might of been asked before. But I don't know how to search for it in the forums. When I removed my rear seats... under it on each side where these orange things... What are they... sensors? or something else?

It depends on the type of lightning audio speakers you got. Theres the ones that they sell at walmart, then there are better ones you can find at some speaker shops. Same with sony Xplode products. But if youre not going for all out bass and just want a little bump, then you have nothing to worry about.

but yea, move to the audio.

 

definetly a pain in the *** to change the rear speakers.
