My check engine light is on and i can't seem to get it to tell me the codes. I tried what that one dude made and test the blue wires for the CEL flashes but it doesn't flash. My car is a 94 Civic hatch Dx with a B18b swap. I stick the paper clips at the end of the plug and i put my car on "on" and the CEL just turns on like normal then in like 5 secs it just turns off. I can't get the code to it? Can someone help me? Did i do something wrong? Sorry i am a noob at checking engine lights. Comments will be appriciated.

Forgot to mention a few days ago the heater hose had a cut in it, as i was driving home the CEL turns on and my car starts bogging. When i got home i pulled my car into the garage and put it into Nuetrul and it smoked. I opened the hood and radiator fluid is all over the tranny, so i found the cut and then i fixed it later with a new one. During that time I checked why it was bogging and it was 1 of my spark plugs that had unttach, i fixed that After all that i can't get the CEL off.

just make sure that whatever you're using to (the paperclip) is touching both pins. or if you have a swap it might have the CEL on the ecu... if so there is a little clear window thing on it. that's the only thing i can think of.

 

What do you mean (the paperclip) is touching both pins? When i stick the paper clip in the plugger i'm pretty sure its on tight. What do you mean by "if you have a swap it might have the CEL on the ecu"? My motor is swapped but no CEL lights everything was hacked to fit perfectly. Besides what is a little clear window? Do you mean by the dash?
