AAAHHAHAHAHAHAA.

DRIVE-by-wire

And yes it is possible but you will need several different pieces from the RSX Type S not sure exactly what though, but I think the ECU is one of them.

I think it was ECU, throttle body, and the cable assembly... probably most of the pedal assembly too.

Of course. Fly by wire is a special option for the dealer and very difficult to find on the Si. Kind of expensive though. AHAHA

Yes. See below.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Demonis &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I think it was ECU, throttle body, and the cable assembly... probably most of the pedal assembly too.</TD></TR></TABLE>

ECU from an older RSX (02-04). Not sure about the pedal assembly. The throttle body must be from K24.

Fly by wire has nothing to do with Drive by wire. Two totally different things. And as for posting something constructive.........

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A...stems

Scroll down a little less than halfway to the "Fly-by-wire" section

Fly-by-wire is for use on aircraft. Drive-by-wire is for vehicles......smartass.

Now who just got owned?? Maybe you should just keep ur comments to urself.

Cool! So you ******* google'd something and now you're an expert! ...? First you try to make the OP look stupid then you say you're just messin with him and NOW you know everything about it huh?

Its cute how you PM me about all of this **** , as I explained to you FBW was the terminology that came about long before DBW... also as i said, every single tech at my dealership and every single technician that i know, refers to the throttle system as FBW being as that what it is/was VERY commonly reffered to as before it was a feature on the new civics...

No matter how you cut it, its the same **** and converting the setup is a waste of money/time unless you can SERIOUSLY justify needing to do it...

Yes I know FBW came about before DBW. No need to get all pissed and try to impress all of ur friends just cause you got put in your place.

And in case you didn't notice I wasn't the only one makin jokes about what OP said so try wasting your time on a couple other people instead cause you're starting to bore me.

You were wrong....I was right. All there is to it.

Your technicians at the dealership are wrong to and you should tell them that. Though DBW is the automotive similarity to FBW and the concepts may be similar, they are still very different.

And the only reason I googled it was because apparently you couldn't find it out for yourself so I took the liberty of doing it for you.

Apparently you're not the mature guy to admit mistakes so i'm through arguing with you. Better luck next time!

lol, who's pissed? sorry to disappoint bro but I dont get my panties in a bunch over some chum on HT. its obvious you have no clue what youre talking about... all of this coming from someone who cant grasp the concept of a MAF, and thought that outside temperature gauge was located on the pass side window trim!?

Why dont you come tell the technicians at my dealership that they're wrong? I'd enjoy listening to you make an *** of yourself, just as you have in this thread and many others. you've proven time and again that all you're capable of is regurgitating information and its starting to bore me. I'm curious to know if you can even change a set of brake pads?

What mistake should I admit to? Youre the "immature" one coming into a thread and trying to make a mockery out of someone then you get called out on it and play the "i was just joking" card... youre right though i totally got owned, i'll keep to myself next time

And all of this from someone "chum" who thinks that aircraft flying systems operate on automobiles. And now you have to go and fish through other threads just to try and get some dirt on me just because you can't accept the fact that your almighty knowledgeable *** just got showed up.

Pretty pathetic dude.

And i'd love to drive all the way to Arizona just to tell your technicians they're wrong, but i'm afraid i don't have the time for that pointless nonsense.

And i may not know everything, but then again who does? Certainly not you either. There's a grip load of people on here who ask alot of different kind of questions so why don't you go poke fun at all of them to since apparently it's your only defense against being wrong. And I know I don't know know as much about cars as you do and I can admit to that. But that's not what this thread is about so quit comparing brains. So maybe you should admit that you were actually wrong for a change and save us all the trouble as this thread is probably gonna get locked pretty soon because of this senseless arguing.

Given your reputation on this forum you're the LAST person i would expect this kind of bullshit from.

Owned.....

No seriously though, what's the point of all the arguing? So in all technicality FBW is for aircrafts.... duh, and maybe some mechanics use the term to refer to throttle systems on automobiles... so? I mean, yeah one of you was wrong, it's cool to just own up to it, instead of making a huge deal...

Agreed!

I can understand how the two could be mistaken, but still they are NOT the same.
