Default rain gutters

how do you get them off? is it worth it the change them or should i just paint over them?

are you talking about the moulding on the roof of the car??? Be very careful...took minr off and messed them up. Anyone know where I can get some new ones ?????

i removed mine by pulling up and it's now bent.

the roof moulding consists of a metal strip coatd with rubber. pull up and the moulding will get bent and the moulding clips will be trash.

looks like the safest way to remove them is to gently pry them up in the rear and pull it straight out.

thats what I did and they came out fine. just pry up a bit in the back and then pull it slides right out, also make sure no windshield glue is holding it on in the front under the windshield molding.

oh and i'm pulling out the windshield would it be better to pull them forward or back out the rear?

yes the clips are in the gutter covered with seam sealer and the moulding slides into them.

i'd pull them out from the front. it's possible to bend them while prying up so i'd rather have it bent in the front. that way maybe the windshield moulding could cover it up. no room for error when prying up the rear.

so as long as you replace them, bending shouldn't be a problem.
