I can't find any info on the 70.5X. Do you mean the 50.5X?

I doubt it. I would assume if this is the sst that it uses a different antenna etc.

Nope the 50.5x looks like the rsx3.5 and other responder remotes. The 50.5x remote will not work with any other unit(i tried). It uses the sst freq. So its not compatiable with any other unit except is own brain. There is no info out on the unit yet (70.5x) I just got it in (3) and they all sold as soon as I showed my customer. Now I am not sure if this remote would work with the other units. But it shares the responder freq that the 791,790 and the rsx3.5 uses. So it should work if programmed. I will try it later once I get a extra time and controler. The 50.5x shows up at the clifford website now.

Here is both units, there is now a 20.5x. same features less aux

i wonder if we can put the sst ant. on a 791 and then program it to it. we put 791 ant on 350hv's and 560xv's and use responder remotes all the time at my work. maybe when we get some in ill grab an ant and remote and try it.

Looking at the info on them I do not see the "For use in automatic transmission cars only" warning, does that mean DEI has finally, [or again] come out with a remote start for a standard?
I also could not find any mention of range. 94

The 70.5x from clifford is only a1/4 mile like the the other. The 50.5x and 20.5x are a mile. If it comes with the sst. I vouch for them. The thing really does allmost a mile away. But this is in cerritos not sure about everyone else. I was getting off the fwy with my friend driving he lives about a mile from the fwy and he was talking shyt about it I hit the remote start button and the dam thing reached. I was schooked too. I was a lil under the mile but really dam far. My rsx3.5 did not even reach. It is now for sale. But it does have a 1 sec lag on responce

How much are these alarms going for? I don't have a price list yet and dei's msrp is always higher than what "retail" is.

well All I can say is that this unit is really coool. Range is still the same as the units in its class or just a lil better. All features remain the same. If your into the extra bling or want something that the next man does not have then this is for you. The only thing I don't like is that this unit did not come with the sst. For the price I think it should. But other then that its really nice. I give it 9 out of 10

So did anyone find out if the 70.5 remote can be programmed to other clifford matrix models ie.,2.5, 3.5?

No, it can't.

I mentioned that alarm in my sticky. I only know it on paper though. Never installed one. Viper 7900/Python 1090/Clifford 70.5X all the same alarm.

So wrx-killer, are you able to get DEI's new lineup now?

nope, still waiting. I only move like 30 units a month or so. And all the big retailers are eating them up so us small fish don't have any. I have 5 on order right now. I only have the 50.5x, rsx 3.5, 70.5x and the 12x.

Big retailers like Best Buy? Because we don't even carry them yet. 30 units a month is a lot more than what we sell.

How big is that remote? Looks like the size of a small cell phone.

Well if you count ALL of the stores and divisions (BestBuy,BestBuy-Ca,Magnolia,FutureShop)-thats a lot of product per month. The only downside is that we can't clear thousands or millions of $$$ of inventory overnite to get the "new cool toy" that comes out. Indies (mom and pops) have that advantage-my local rep had the SST varients in thier hands as soon as they were shipping-hell i still have the single led remote starts-while every else is pushing the dual companion sets. Thats just how it plays out.

The great thing is its finally at a price thats respectable -now how soon before the crappy knockoffs start showing up
